Tour Itinerary - Vancouver to Banff Bus Tour (Circle West)
Day 1: Vancouver to Jasper Scenic Drive
Your journey from Vancouver to Jasper travels through the fertile Fraser Valley to the charming town of Hope, where we usually make a coffee break. The journey then continues north on the scenic Coquihalla Highway. After a lunch break in Kamloops, follow the North Thompson River through the interior of British Columbia, with a stop at Mt. Robson before arriving in Jasper for your overnight stay..
Please note: Driving times may vary. We make regular comfort stops approximately every 2 to 2.5 hours whenever possible, giving guests time to stretch, use the washroom, and enjoy some fresh air.
Day 2: Jasper to Banff Sightseeing
Start your journey from Jasper with a scenic stop at Pyramid Lake before continuing south along the Icefields Parkway, often considered one of the most beautiful highways in the world.. Along the way, visit highlights such as Athabasca Falls, the Columbia Icefield, and Peyto Lake, subject to seasonal road and weather conditions. Day 3: Banff & Lake Louise Sightseeing
Prepare yourself for another exhilarating day of sightseeing and activities in Banff National Park. As we make our way to Lake Louise, we will pause at Johnston Canyon for a leisurely hike (optional) along the trail that guides us to the breathtaking Lower Falls. While at Lake Louise, you’ll find numerous viewpoints offering splendid photo opportunities of the majestic Victoria Glacier towering over the lake. In the afternoon, our adventure continues as we explore other notable attractions in the Rockies, including Moraine Lake (seasonal), Banff Springs Hotel, and Bow Falls Don’t forget to take advantage of the gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain** for a breathtaking panoramic view of Banff town and its surrounding or Upper Hot Springs for a soothing soak in the hot, mineral-rich water. As you make your way towards Rogers Pass, the highest point in the Canadian Rockies, keep an eye out for the fascinating Spiral Tunnels. These tunnels are a remarkable achievement in railway engineering, strategically designed to navigate the steep gradient of the mountains and facilitate the safe passage of trains. Our tours conveniently depart from the Hyatt Regency Downtown Vancouver (655 Burrard Street) — right in the heart of the city. This central meeting point makes it easy for guests from nearby hotels to join us and ensures a smooth, on-time start to your adventure.
Difference between standard and premium accommodation?
Standard accommodations feature mountain lodge-style hotels—commonly found in the national parks—known for their cleanliness and comfort. All rooms are private and include en-suite washrooms. In terms of location, these hotels are centrally situated, right in the heart of town (Banff/Jasper), offering added convenience.
Premium accommodations offer a more luxurious, resort-style experience and are in high demand. These hotels often sell out as early as six months before departure, so we recommend booking well in advance if you prefer this option.
How many people are usually on each tour?
Our highway coaches have a capacity of 56 seats, offering spacious comfort for all travelers. However, the number of passengers varies depending on the specific tour and departure date.
Some departures operate with smaller groups for a more relaxed experience, while others may be closer to full capacity during peak season. Regardless of group size, every guest enjoys a comfortable ride, panoramic views, and personalized attention from our expert guides.
Are Gratuities included in the Circle West Tour Package?
Gratuities are not included in our prices, unless otherwise indicated. The price only includes the guided roundtrip bus ride from Vancouver to Banff and back, 3 nights of accommodation, National park pass, Toll-fee and 3 breakfasts. While we do not dictate the amount you should offer as a tip, it is customary in Canada to provide gratuities as a token of appreciation for excellent service
How many hours will the coach travel each day?
Each travel day is a scenic experience, not just a transfer. As we make our way from Vancouver to Jasper or Banff, you’ll enjoy incredible views, short rest stops, and chances to photograph some of Canada’s most stunning landscapes. Filled with spectacular scenery and frequent stops to rest, explore, and take photos. Our comfortable motorcoaches make every mile enjoyable.
Is there a space for wheelchair or mobility aids?
We welcome guests of all mobility levels on our tours. While our motorcoaches are not equipped with wheelchair lifts, we can usually accommodate foldable wheelchairs or mobility aids that can be safely stored in the luggage compartment.
