FAQ’S

Pent-up demand for 2023 Canadian vacations has been extremely high, and we highly recommend that you book your seats as early as possible

Key West Travel does not offer individual pick-ups as our tour guests would like to depart Vancouver as scheduled. Usually, the tour departs from Hyatt Regency Downtown Vancouver (655 Burrard Street).

Standard hotels are mountain lodge-style while deluxe hotels are resort-style. The majority of our guests choose standard accommodation as these hotels are very clean and comfortable, and travellers will get their own private room and washroom. Travellers who book deluxe accommodation often do so because they want to stay at Chateau Lake Louise. If you want to book deluxe accommodation, be sure to book early as these hotels sell out quickly – availability is limited within 6 months of departure!

Gratuities are not included in the prices, except for onboard the Rocky Mountaineer. It is customary to tip for excellent service in Canada.

This depends on the day. If you are travelling from Vancouver to Jasper or Banff, it will be a minimum of 10 hours. However, every 2-3 hours, you get out of the bus for mini breaks. During the sightseeing days, you will spend little time on the bus as you will be walking/sightseeing/hiking & etc.

Day 1 (Calgary or Edmonton to Jasper – by Coach)

Coach transfer from downtown hotels or airport to Jasper. Travel through the rolling foothills of Alberta into the majestic Canadian Rockies. En-route, take the Icefields Parkway, “one of the most beautiful highways in the world”. Overnight in Jasper.

Day 2 (Jasper To Banff – By Coach)
(Departs: 8:30 Am, Arrives: 7:30 Pm)*

Your day start with a scenic hike through Maligne Canyon before heading South. Then, travel along the world-famous Icefields Parkway to take in some of nature’s most spectacular mountain scenery. Have your camera ready for possible wildlife sightings! Highlights include Athabasca Falls, Peyto Lake, and the Columbia Icefield. Ride the “Ice Explorer”* on Athabasca Glacier or visit the Glacier Skywalk*. Overnight in Banff. [B]

Day 3 (Banff National Park, Lake Louise – By Coach)
(Departs: 8:00 Am, Arrives: 6:00 Pm)*

Enjoy scenic views, including the spectacular Lower Falls, as you walk through Johnston Canyon. At Lake Louise, stroll the shores of the glacier-fed lake and enjoy the atmosphere of the world-famous Chateau Lake Louise. Afternoon highlights include Moraine Lake, the Banff Springs Hotel, the Upper Hot Springs*, and views from the top of Sulphur Mountain*. Overnight in Banff. [B]

Day 4 (Lake Louise Surroundings – Independent)

Enjoy Lake Louise or discover colourful Banff at your leisure: boutiques, art galleries, cafés, and shopping. Overnight in Lake Louise. [B]

Day 5 (Lake Louise To Kamloops – By Rocky Mountaineer Rail)
(Departs: 8:20 Am, Arrives: 6:50 Pm)*

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the mountain town of Lake Louis to Kamloops in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. Your journey offers a spectacular range of scenery as you travel between the high peaks of the Canadian Rockies, over mountain passes and through remarkable tunnels, along rocky lakeshores and across the ranchlands of the interior. Today’s highlights include the Continental Divide, the engineering marvel Spiral Tunnels, Kicking Horse Canyon, Rogers Pass, Craigellachie where the last spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway was driven, and of course the glaciers and snow-capped peaks of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight in Kamloops. [B] [L]

Day 6 (Kamloops To Vancouver – By Rocky Mountaineer Rail)
(Departs: 7:30 Am, Arrives: 5:15 Pm)*

Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s journey, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery from the desert-like environment of the interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coastal Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and snow sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in Fraser Canyon. Your journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. [B] [L]
