Itinerary: 6 Days/5 Nights Roundtrip to Rockies from Vancouver

Day 1: Vancouver to Jasper
Your journey from Vancouver to Jasper travels through the fertile Fraser Valley to the charming town of Hope, where we usually make a coffee break. The journey then continues north on the scenic Coquihalla Highway. After a lunch break in Kamloops, follow the North Thompson River through the interior of British Columbia, with a stop at Mt. Robson before arriving in Jasper for your overnight stay..
Please note: Driving times may vary. We make regular comfort stops approximately every 2 to 2.5 hours whenever possible, giving guests time to stretch, use the washroom, and enjoy some fresh air.
Day 2: Jasper to Banff
Start your journey from Jasper with a scenic stop at Pyramid Lake before continuing south along the Icefields Parkway, often considered one of the most beautiful highways in the world.. Continue south along the Icefields Parkway, often considered one of the most beautiful highways in the world. Along the way, visit highlights such as Athabasca Falls, the Columbia Icefield, and Peyto Lake, subject to seasonal road and weather conditions. At the Columbia Icefield, guests may join the optional Ice Explorer Glacier Adventure on the Athabasca Glacier. Overnight in Banff. [B]
Day 3: Banff National Park, Lake Louise
Prepare yourself for another exhilarating day of sightseeing and activities in Banff National Park. As we make our way to Lake Louise, we will pause at Johnston Canyon for a leisurely hike (optional) along the trail that guides us to the breathtaking Lower Falls. While at Lake Louise, you’ll find numerous viewpoints offering splendid photo opportunities of the majestic Victoria Glacier towering over the lake. In the afternoon, our adventure continues as we explore other notable attractions in the Rockies, including Moraine Lake (seasonal), Banff Springs Hotel, and Bow Falls Don’t forget to take advantage of the gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain** for a breathtaking panoramic view of Banff town and its surrounding or Upper Hot Springs for a soothing soak in the hot, mineral-rich water. Day 4: Banff to Lake Louise
Depart Banff in the late morning for your transfer to Lake Louise. Arrive at your hotel by approximately 1:00 pm, with the remainder of the day free to explore at your own pace. Alternative transfer times may be available upon request and subject to availability. [B]
Day 5: Lake Louise to Kamloops
Transfer by Rocky Mountaineer motorcoach from Lake Louise to the train station in the morning and check in for your journey. Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer with breakfast and lunch served onboard as you enjoy a full day of spectacular scenery. Arrive in Kamloops in the early evening and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. [B] [L]
Day 6: Kamloops to Vancouver
Transfer from your hotel to the train station and board the Rocky Mountaineer in the morning. Enjoy breakfast and lunch onboard while traveling through beautiful landscapes on your journey west. Arrive in Vancouver in the late afternoon at the Rocky Mountaineer station, with drop-off available at select downtown hotels, marking the end of your tour. [B] [L]

How is tour price calculated?
Your tour includes 3 main components: Hotel accommodation, a Rocky Mountaineer Rail trip, and a Deluxe motorcoach tour. Tour cost is based on the choice of hotel stay (standard or deluxe), rail service (GoldLeaf or SilverLeaf), and room occupancy (Single, Double, Triple, or Quad). Published rates are per person in Canadian dollars before tax.
How early should we book?
Pent-up demand for Canadian vacations has been extremely high, and we highly recommend that you book your seats as early as possible
What are the pickup and dropoff points?

Difference between Standard and Premium plus accommodation?
Standard hotels are mountain lodge-style while Premium Plus hotels are resort-style. The majority of our guests choose standard accommodation as these hotels are very clean and comfortable, and travelers will get their own private room and washroom. Travelers who book Premium Plus accommodation often do so because they want to stay at Chateau Lake Louise. If you want to book deluxe accommodation, be sure to book early as these hotels sell out quickly – availability is limited within 6 months of departure!
Are gratuities included in the tour package cost?
Gratuities are not included in the prices, except for onboard the Rocky Mountaineer. It is customary to tip for excellent service in Canada.
Is there space for wheelchairs or mobility aids?
We welcome guests of all mobility levels on our tours. While our motorcoaches are not equipped with wheelchair lifts, we can usually accommodate foldable wheelchairs or mobility aids that can be safely stored in the luggage compartment. If you or a companion use a mobility device, please let us know in advance — our team will do their best to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
