Day 1 (Vancouver to Whistler)
(Departs: 7:40 am, Arrives: 7:30 pm)*

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Whistler. Following your motorcoach transfer from downtown Vancouver, the Rocky Mountaineer takes you on a breathtaking rail journey through the stunning scenery of the Sea to Sky Corridor. Highlights of the trip include spectacular views of Howe Sound and the Coast Mountains, Brandywine Falls, Mount Garibaldi and the impressive Cheakamus Canyon. On arrival at the Whistler train station, you will be transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Whistler. [B]

Day 2 (Whistler to Quesnel)
(Departs: 7:10 am, Arrives: 7:30 pm)*

Travel onboard the Rocky Mountaineer from Whistler to Quesnel. Highlights include the shorelines of Anderson Lake and glacial-fed Seton Lake, sweeping views of the Fraser Canyon and the crossing of Deep Creek Bridge, one of the highest railway bridges in the world. Overnight in Quesnel. [B] [L]

Day 3 (Quesnel to Jasper)
(Departs: 7:10 am, Arrives: 8:30 pm)*

Your journey continues to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. Highlights include the Fraser River, the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mount Robson, at 3,954 metres (12,972 feet) the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and Yellowhead Pass. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Jasper. [B] [L]

FAQ’S

Pent-up demand for Canadian vacations has been extremely high, and we highly recommend booking your seats as early as possible (to secure your preferred date and avoid hotel downgrades). 

Individual pick-ups are not included in the tour, so we recommend taking a taxi to the Rocky Mountaineer train station (1755 Cottrell St).

Onboard the Rocky Mountaineer, you’ll be cared for by a dedicated team committed to exceptional service — and their gratuities are included as part of your package price.

However, gratuities are not included for sightseeing tour guides or drivers. Tipping is entirely at your discretion, though in Canada it’s customary to offer a gratuity in recognition of excellent service.

Rocky Mountaineer operates exclusively during the daytime so that you can really enjoy the breathtaking scenery along the route. Every day of travel begins early in the morning, usually around 6:00 and 8:00 a.m., and ends late afternoon, about 5:00 p.m., and that’s when you check into your overnight hotel.

You can take the Rocky Mountaineer train journey back, Jasper to Vancouver via KamloopsJasper to Vancouver via Whistler (subject to availability on the preferred dates) or  choose to return by flight. If you prefer alternative travel options, our team will be happy to assist with personalized suggestions and arrangements.
