Day 1: Calgary to Banff - Motor Coach

Calgary to Banff trip begins with rolling hills and wide-open prairies, providing a glimpse of the vastness of Alberta’s landscape. As you continue, the scenery becomes more dramatic, with the Rocky Mountains gradually coming into view. Day 2: Banff National Park - Motor Coach
Departure: 8:30 am

Prepare yourself for an exhilarating day of sightseeing and activities in Banff National Park. As we make our way to Lake Louise, we will pause at Johnston Canyon for a leisurely hike (optional) along the trail that guides us to the breathtaking Lower Falls. While at Lake Louise, you’ll find numerous viewpoints offering splendid photo opportunities of the majestic Victoria Glacier towering over the lake. In the afternoon, our adventure continues as we explore other notable attractions in the Rockies, including Moraine Lake (seasonal), Banff Springs Hotel, and Bow Falls Don’t forget to take advantage of the gondola ride up Sulphur Mountain for a breathtaking panoramic view of Banff town and its surrounding or Upper Hot Springs for a soothing soak in the hot, mineral-rich water. Day 3: Lake Louise Surroundings - At Your Leisure
Make the most of a leisurely day to fully immerse yourself in the splendor of Lake Louise. Seize the opportunity to visit the stunning Lake Agnes, featuring charming teahouse nestled at an elevation of 2,134 meters.Alternatively, opt for a gondola ride up the Lake Louise Ski Resort, treating yourself to a panoramic view of Lake Louise and its surroundings. Day 4: Lake Louise to Jasper - Motor Coach (Columbia Icefield)
From the iconic Lake Louise to the otherworldly Columbia Icefield and beyond to Jasper, this tour allows you to see glaciers up close and discover how they’ve shaped our landscape. A once-in-a-lifetime ride on the Athabasca Glacier—on board our famous Ice Explorers—will have you drinking water fresh from the ice. Day 5: Jasper to Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer Rail
Departure: 8:20 am
Arrival: 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Board the Rocky Mountaineer train at the Jasper Station at 8:10am MT. Today you will travel from Jasper in the Canadian Rockies to Kamloops, located in the heart of the British Columbia Interior. As you journey west and south you will be surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the Continental Divide and by the river valleys of the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains. Today’s highlights include Mount Robson, Pyramid Falls, the climb over Yellowhead Pass, and the journey along the North Thompson River as you approach Kamloops. You will arrive in Kamloops between 5:30pm and 7:00pm PT. Spend the evening exploring the town, or relaxing in your hotel. Day 6: Kamloops to Vancouver - Rocky Mountaineer Rail
Departure: 7:30 am
Arrival: 6:00 – 7:00 pm
Your journey continues west towards the Pacific Ocean and the coastal city of Vancouver. On today’s rail journey, you will again see dramatic changes in scenery, from the desert-like environment of the Interior, through winding river canyons and pristine forests, to the Coast and Cascade Mountains and the lush green fields of the Fraser Valley. Highlights include the steep slopes and rock sheds along the Thompson River and the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in the Fraser Canyon. Your rail journey ends on arrival in Vancouver this evening. How is tour price calculated?
Your tour includes 3 main components: Hotel accommodation, a Rocky Mountaineer Rail trip, and a Deluxe motorcoach tour. Tour cost is based on the choice of hotel stay (standard or deluxe), rail service (GoldLeaf or SilverLeaf), and room occupancy (Single, Double, Triple, or Quad). Published rates are per person in Canadian dollars before tax.
How early should we book?
Pent-up demand for Canadian vacations has been extremely high, and we highly recommend that you book your seats as early as possible
Difference between standard and premium plus accommodation?
Standard hotels are mountain lodge-style while Premium Plus hotels are resort-style. The majority of our guests choose standard accommodation as these hotels are very clean and comfortable, and travelers will get their own private room and washroom. Travelers who book Premium Plus accommodation often do so because they want to stay at Chateau Lake Louise. If you want to book deluxe accommodation, be sure to book early as these hotels sell out quickly – availability is limited within 6 months of departure!

Is there space for wheelchairs or mobility aids?
We welcome guests of all mobility levels on our tours. While our motorcoaches are not equipped with wheelchair lifts, we can usually accommodate foldable wheelchairs or mobility aids that can be safely stored in the luggage compartment. If you or a companion use a mobility device, please let us know in advance — our team will do their best to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.
Are gratuities included in the tour package cost?
Gratuities are not included in the prices, except for onboard the Rocky Mountaineer. It is customary to tip for excellent service in Canada.
How many hours will the coach travel each day?
Each travel day is a scenic experience, not just a transfer. As we make our way from Calgary to Jasper, you’ll enjoy incredible views, short rest stops, and chances to photograph some of Canada’s most stunning landscapes. Filled with spectacular scenery and frequent stops to rest, explore, and take photos. Our comfortable motorcoaches make every mile enjoyable.
