Day 1: Vancouver to Kamloops – Rocky Mountaineer Rail
Departure: 7:30 am
Arrival: 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Travel aboard the Rocky Mountaineer from the coastal city of Vancouver to Kamloops, the largest city in the interior. On this journey, you will witness remarkable changes in scenery, from the lush green fields of the Fraser River Valley and forests nestled in winding river canyons to the desert-like landscape of the interior. Highlights include the rushing waters of Hell’s Gate in Fraser Canyon and the stunning slopes and snow sheds along the Thompson River. Your day concludes as the Rocky Mountaineer follows the scenic shores of Kamloops Lake, bringing you to your overnight destination, Kamloops. [B] [L]
Day 2: Kamloops to Jasper – Rocky Mountaineer Rail
Departure: 6:45 am
Arrival: 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Continue your Rocky Mountaineer journey from Kamloops to Jasper, travelling along the North Thompson River and through the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains toward the Canadian Rockies. Highlights along the route may include Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, Pyramid Falls, and the climb over Yellowhead Pass into Jasper National Park. Arrive in Jasper in the evening, where you will spend the night. [B] [L]
Day 3: Jasper to Banff - Motor Coach
Departure: 8:00 am
Arrival: 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Start your journey from Jasper with a scenic stop at Pyramid Lake before continuing south along the Icefields Parkway, often considered one of the most beautiful highways in the world.. Continue south along the Icefields Parkway, often considered one of the most beautiful highways in the world. Along the way, visit highlights such as Athabasca Falls, the Columbia Icefield, and Peyto Lake, subject to seasonal road and weather conditions. At the Columbia Icefield, guests may join the optional Ice Explorer Glacier Adventure on the Athabasca Glacier. Overnight in Banff. [B]
Day 4: Banff National Park, including Lake Louise - Motor Coach
Departure: 8:00 am
Arrival: 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Prepare for a full day of sightseeing and activities in Banff National Park. On the way to Lake Louise, stop at Johnston Canyon for a leisurely hike before continuing to one of the most photographed lakes in the Canadian Rockies. At Lake Louise, enjoy spectacular views of Victoria Glacier and the surrounding mountain scenery. In the afternoon, visit more Banff highlights, including Moraine Lake (seasonal), Bow Falls, and the Banff Springs Hotel. Guests may also choose to ride the Banff Gondola for panoramic views of Banff and the surrounding mountains, or visit the Banff Upper Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in the mineral-rich waters. Difference between standard and premium plus accommodation
Standard hotels are mountain lodge-style while Premium Plus hotels are resort-style. The majority of our guests choose standard accommodation as these hotels are very clean and comfortable, and travelers will get their own private room and washroom. Travelers who book Premium Plus accommodation often do so because they want to stay at Chateau Lake Louise. If you want to book deluxe accommodation, be sure to book early as these hotels sell out quickly – availability is limited within 6 months of departure!
Are gratuities included in the tour package cost?
Gratuities are not included in the prices, except for onboard the Rocky Mountaineer. It is customary to tip for excellent service in Canada.
How many hours will the coach travel each day?
Each travel day is a scenic experience, not just a transfer. As we make our way from Vancouver to Jasper or Banff, you’ll enjoy incredible views, short rest stops, and chances to photograph some of Canada’s most stunning landscapes. Filled with spectacular scenery and frequent stops to rest, explore, and take photos. Our comfortable motorcoaches make every mile enjoyable.
Is there space for wheelchairs or mobility aids?
