Circle West
4 day Rocky Mountain Circle tour from Vancouver
Our 4-day Rocky Mountain circle bus tour travels through the fertile lands of Fraser Valley and jagged snow-covered coast mountains before reaching our final destination – the Canadian Rockies. As you travel your way through the majestic Rockies, enjoy our fully guided tour filled with many exciting activities and jaw-dropping sightseeing in the Banff and Jasper National Parks.
Accommodation: . It is important to consider where your accommodation is located. Is it in the heart of town or further out? Are they located in main towns (in this case Jasper, Banff, Lake Louise) or in a small outlying town? While it is true that staying in the Rockies likely means higher tour costs, it is also true that you'll have an opportunity to spend more quality time in these spectacular townsites as you spend less time commuting each day between your hotel and the Rockies
Key West Travel Offers: Our tour packages include accommodation at hotels right in the heart of each of the 3 main towns in the Rockies (Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise) . This means that you are free to explore the town on your own and are not restricted to eating or shopping at the hotel, plus you are able to get a better feel for the culture of the area.
Transportation: You will need transportation not only to and from the Rockies, but also from site to site and town to town during your tour, making the type of transportation used by the tour company very important. It is essential to ask what type of transportation is used (i.e. small bus, large bus, etc.) and what type of facilities are available (i.e. washrooms on board, air conditioning, seats, etc.). There are also two major rail companies with routes that travel through the Rockies, so it may be worth your while to inquire whether any tours combine both types of transportation.
Key West Travel Offers: We offer both coach only and rail & coach tour packages to the Rockies! The coaches we use are all large, deluxe coaches with washroom facilities, air conditioning, large windows, and wide seats for a smooth and comfortable journey.
Tour Group & Tour Guide: Before booking any tour package, you should always consider who the tour package is geared towards, as this will provide insight on your fellow travellers and what to expect. For example, a tour geared towards those in the 19 – 25 age range will be a very different experience from a tour geared towards those in who are 30+. Additionally, you should always consider the type of tour guide employed by the company. Are the driver and guide the same person? Is this a summer job or are they professional tour guides? Your overall experience on the tour will be a direct result of the type of tour group you travel with, as well as the tour guide.
Key West Travel Offers: Our tour groups are geared towards those in the 30+ age range, but we often have families and students join our tours as well! Essentially, our tours are geared towards those who want to explore the Rockies as much as possible with a more mature tour group in a relaxed environment. At the end of every tour, we receive numerous compliments about our professional tour directors, praising their professional and organized manner, as well as their friendly personality and great knowledge of the Rocky Mountains.
Itinerary/Activities: Obviously, a tour’s itinerary and the available activities is probably the number one factor in choosing which tour is best for you. The pace of the tour, as well as how much of the Rockies you want to visit in the time you have available, will likely play a big role in determining which tour you book. You should also consider what activities and sites are included, and what has an additional cost. If activities are an additional cost, you should always check if the activities are optional (meaning you have the choice to participate), as you do not want to be surprised during the tour and pay more than you expected.
Key West Travel Offers: We offer extensive itineraries that provide an overview of the Rocky Mountains and visit many of the “Can’t Miss” highlights of the Canadian Rockies. We also offer optional activities, at an additional cost, that guests can choose to participate in if they are interested. If guests decide against participating, there are always free activities that they can enjoy instead.

“Excellent tour and saw amazing places and experienced lovely things. It met our needs of visiting the Rockies and was well priced for what it had offered. Well worth the money. Brad was very well spoken and knowledgeable with all the information he provided. He knew his information/history and provided us with all necessary information. Len was very friendly and professional one of the best drivers from a tour company we have experienced.”
FAQ'S
Our tours are conducted in English only, by a professional tour director with more than 10 years of experience!
We recommend booking your tour as soon as your plans are confirmed, since departure dates are quite popular and can fill up quickly. Essentially, book early to avoid disappointment!
Key West Travel does not offer individual pick-ups as our tour guests would like to depart Vancouver as scheduled. Usually, the tour departs from Hyatt Regency Downtown Vancouver (655 Burrard Street).
Standard hotels are mountain lodge-style while premium hotels are resort-style. The majority of our guests choose standard accommodation as these hotels are very clean and comfortable, and travellers will get their own private room and washroom. If you want to book premium accommodation, be sure to book early as these hotels sell out quickly – they usually aren’t available within 6 months of departure!
Gratuities are not included in the prices (unless indicated). While it is neither our place nor our wish to tell you how much to tip, gratuities in Canada are often given in recognition of service excellence.
This depends on the day. When we are travelling between Vancouver and Jasper or Banff, it will be a minimum of 10 hours. However, every 2-3 hours, we leave the bus for mini breaks. During the sightseeing days, you will spend little time on the bus as you will be walking/sightseeing/hiking & etc.
